Joshua loves balls. He also loves cars, and making a vrooom noise while pushing things across the floor. But mostly Joshua loves playing
with someone else - playing catch with a ball (rolling it back and forth actually), or rolling a car to someone and having them roll it back. Joshua has "woo", his daddy says. He loves people, and really wherever we go people are drawn to him too.

Joseph loves balls too. But Joseph is our "baby bear". His daddy calls him Griz. And grizzly bears don't play catch. Trust me, we've tried teaching him, but he thinks throwing a ball is ridiculous when he could hold the ball tightly in his hand. Grizzly bears
possess their toys. If they are not in complete control, then they might as well not be in control at all. And sharing? Ha! There is no such thing as partial ownership to a grizzly bear.

Yesterday, after getting out of the shower, both boys wanted Momma's lap - not untypical. Joshua was content to get my left arm and shoulder. But Joseph felt threatened. He gets primal. The trauma he's encountered in his short life has left him feeling desperate to
possess any opportunity for nurture. In this photo he is pulling my hair as hard as he can with one hand, while pushing brother away with the other. Yet, he is the one that is in pain.
Please pray for our little baby bear. God has placed him in a family. For his good. For his healing. For all of us to learn how to share.
