Gitcha Self Some o' These - Friends

The ladies in this photo haven't adopted yet (ha!) But they have been a bedrock of support to me these past several weeks. They've prayed for us, delivered meals, called, cried tears of joy and empathy, and just plain cared. We've been in a mom's fellowship group together for nearly five years (not all of us are pictured here in this photo of Missy's baby shower last spring), and I can sincerely say that the friendship offered by these women has been a tangible evidence of God's kindness to me. So thank you, sweet friends. You are each so cute, and fun, and dear to me.
Thank you also to the many other friends who have prayed and prayed and prayed for us these past several weeks. One friend was remarking to me today, "When you were in Africa, you were always on my mind. Seriously. I would lay down at night and still be thinking of you guys, and still praying..." I was telling her that we've heard that a lot recently from many friends, and it's humbling, but really it's so cool because I know that GOD was the one to move in people's hearts to cause them to be interested in our journey, and excited to pray along with us. God grabbed people's attention and it's because He wanted lots of people watching when He moved the mountains for us. God blessed all of us. He showed us all His power to swoop in and rescue, and He showed us that He delights in seeing us all come together and ask Him for big things.
So thank you, Friends. Thanks for coming alongside us these past several weeks. Thanks for celebrating with us as we watched God move mountains - and thanks for seeing that the journey isn't over yet, and thanks for not tiring in praying for us still.
