Powerpacks packed

This past week, we prepared and distributed 8,400 back packs filled with school supplies and scripture materials for inner city churches to use as outreach into their neighborhoods.  Such a fun time of seeing God provide for this endeavor.  It made for long days, and tired muscles by the end of the week, but now we get to sit back and wait for the stories to roll in of changed lives as a result of churches making new connections in their communities, and bringing the hope of Christ to those in need.
Dave, and some of the other staff, met with the pastors individually to give them their PowerPacks allotment and pray with them.  Dave says this is a highlight for him, no doubt.  Sorta wish I had a babysitter, and I could be in there doing that too!

We had over 300 volunteers come for our two nights of packing the Powerpacks, and making the Good News Bracelets.  Folks come out and meet new friends from different walks of life!
And check it out!  Joseph started the evening insisting on riding in his ergo carrier on my back, but eventually got brave enough to walk the assembly line and help.  Joshua, however, preferred staying on my hip =-)
