Mental Pictures

I've been taking mental pictures. Consciously throughout the day I tell myself "remember this" when Sadie Lou tells me she can count to zero and then makes a gulping noise like she is swallowing back to keep herself from uttering anything past nothing. And "remember this" when I watch Ruby proudly put on her new glittery snow boots while also insisting it's warm enough for a short skirt and no tights.

I don't know how long I will be away from my daughters when I travel to meet my sons. More than three days is more than I'd want to imagine. And it will definitely be more than 3 weeks.

So, I've been taking pictures.
