Dear daughters, let's promise not to forget these past two days. Let's always remind each other of our Feldner Family Fun Night - when Daddy took us on an adventure: just the four of us.
Let's always remember how majestic it felt to walk into the lobby of Old Spaghetti Factory. You both insist these days in dressing "like twins", and you both love holding each others hands, and sitting together, giggling... let's always remember how Daddy requested the trolley car booth, and how we felt so special snuggled in there together eating warm bread and waiting for our dinner to come.
Let's never forget how fun it was to have that fancy pool in downtown Mpls all to ourselves, and how Daddy pretended to be an underwater dragon, and we would squeal with glee. Please always remember how Momma and Daddy swam with you in the hot tub and sang lullabys to you, pretending you were sleeping babies, while the lights of the city danced on your faces.
Daughters, try to always remember how exciting it was to run through the skyways, holding hands and looking over your shoulder at Momma and Daddy and shouting "hip hip hooray!" if you caught us kissing. Remember all the Christmas decorations, and the business people bustling past us as we took our time.
And the buses and cars passing beneath our feet.
And, Daughters, remember how special it was to eat together on top of the city, at the Skyroom? You shared your star cookies with us, and Daddy got you extra ketchup for your french fries. We had so much fun in just 24 hours! If only you knew that I was choking back happy tears with every other breath. We are so rich. So rich. Thank you, my Treasures.
