We took the college students to the
Midtown Global Market for lunch after a walking tour of some partnering ministry spots in the Phillips neighborhood. Did you know that the
Phillips neighborhood in Minneapolis is the most ethnically diverse single neighborhood in America, and has more 100 languages spoken there? The global market is located in the "old Sears building" which has more square footage than the Mall of America (most of the building is now condos). The market has international trinkets, and amazing food - you could get food from Africa, Asia, Central America... it would be a fun family field trip this summer, if you live in the metro area - and they even validate your parking at the ramp across the street!
