It's a big day around here. Grammy came to celebrate Valentine's Day with us! She and Papa live just 20 minutes away, but she hasn't been to our house since December. Grammy (my mom) is undergoing chemo treatment for breast cancer, and although she is quite a trooper, the chemo has put up quite a fight and even forced her into the hospital last week...which also happened to be the week this month that Dave was gone on a minstry trip.
But today Grammy's doing better, and came to enjoy lunch with us - cuz, really, what says Happy Valentine's Day better than a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's?
Oh, St. Valentine was a dear ol' man I'm sure ...but likely he never knew earthly love as fierce as the love we all have for Grammy (and Papa of course).
