Advent

On Christmas Eve we were sitting in church, and I was struck with gladness as I looked at the advent wreath lit with ALL four candles ablaze. Hooray! The wait is over! Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us - is HERE!
Advent. Waiting. The anticipation of an important arrival. Advent.
Adventure. Taking a risk in the hope of a favorable outcome.
The adoption journey is an advent season. A hope for what is to come. A hope that soon things will be better. In our case; a hope that soon a little boy will no longer sleep in a bed in an orphanage with no bedtime book and no kisses and no prayers with a daddy and momma. A hope that a little boy will soon have a family that belongs to him – forever.
It is an advent. It is an adventure – a risk in the hope of a favorable outcome.
Please pray for us as we continue to gather the needed paperwork, and monies, to make this adoption possible.
