Every spring, Here's Life Inner City prepares Easter Bags, filled with candy, toys, and kid-friendly Scripture materials, and distributes them to urban churches. The urban churches use these Easter Bags to reach out to children (and their families) to share the Good News about Jesus' victory over sin and death. This week, we assembled 4,000 bags for 70 churches. Ruby and Sadie LouLou came to help. Ruby had a blast. So did Sadie LouLou - but the first time she went through the assembly line holding a bag, she oohed and aahed as goodies were placed inside...and when she had to turn it over to be stapled shut and packed away, she was pretty bummed. Oops, she thought it was a bag for her to keep!
