When we come home from being out in public, I say in a sing-song voice, "What's the first thing we do when we come home?" And the girls know the answer: "We wash our hands!" So they race to the bathroom and try to be the first up on the step stool to wash their hands with soap and water. It's our little ritual to try and prevent the cold/flu season from winning the battle. It's our little way of "stopping an epidemic".
But what about being a part of starting an epidemic? Every epidemic has to start somewhere. As this video says: we can be the ones to take one more step and actually begin what can be an epidemic of adoption in our churches.
