At breakfast time, we brought out the basket of "ask letters" and discussed with the kids all of our giving opportunities for the end of the year. We have personal friends in ministry throughout the world, and so many great causes to support. It was fun to include the kids in a time of prayer and decision-making concerning how we might be financially involved in all these endeavors. We "narrowed it down" to 8...and then I thought of two more we definitely don't want to leave out =-)
We played Cootie, and even the boys' attention spans hung in there for a game!
While the boys napped, the girls gave their Barbies a pool party in containers of snow. We sat with the sunshine streaming in, and pretended it was a hot summer day, at least in Barbie-land.
